We are excited to announce that the next version of waterRIDE is ready, known simply as waterRIDE 11.
With waterRIDE 11 we've focussed on simplifying the interface, reducing the volume of always-on tools, providing the largest mapping area of any spatial tool, and bringing the various waterRIDE interfaces together, across Viewer, Manager, Desktop, Cloud and LITE.
We've also rationalised waterRIDE's flood forecasting capability across a number of bespoke solutions to provide a comprehensive, unified platform, including tight integration with waterRIDE LITE to provide a "flood forecasting system in your pocket".
waterRIDE 11 - A familiar, yet streamlined experience.
Those running waterRIDE CLOUD from our fully hosted waterRIDE.net servers will be automatically upgraded to the latest version.
Those running waterRIDE Classic (desktop), or "on-prem Cloud" with a fully paid maintenance plan will receive an email with download and installation instructions.
As a major release, a full install is required. The online help and PDF manual have been updated.
The update also includes support for the latest release of the GDAL spatial library, enhancing waterRIDE's support for external spatial datasets.
We are proud of waterRIDE 11 and look forward to hearing your feedback, comments and suggestions on how we can continue to improve waterRIDE to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
As the Australian Bureau of Meterology "phase out date" for support of Enviromon approaches, we have been liasing with many of our flood forecasting system customers on how their decisions may impact their systems.
We are pleased to report that across a variety of alternative platforms, we have not encountered any issues with access to relevant API's and reports to allow waterRIDE to continue to collect live rainfall and river level datasets.
For those evaluating systems, working through options, or simply needing more time, we have the BoM's 15-minute live rainfall and river level datasets available as part of the waterRIDE FORECAST Data Pack, providing a seamless option to keep the information flowing.

Our final lot of group training for FY25 is running at the end of June.
Continuing with inobtrusive half-day sessions spread over 2 weeks, the sessions provide an excellent way for new users to quickly come up to speed, and for experienced users to extend their skillsets.
